6.1 Affiliate Links
Some links in the Honest Fix Service, including links to parts, tools, and materials in DIY guidance, are affiliate links. Honest Fix may earn a commission if you click the link and make a purchase. Current affiliate programs include:
- Amazon Associates: we earn commissions on qualifying purchases through Amazon links displayed in the Service.
No additional affiliate programs are in use at this time. Affiliate commissions do not affect the price you pay.
Status note: no affiliate links are currently active in the app; this disclosure takes effect when they are.
6.2 Our Recommendations Are Independent
Affiliate relationships do not influence which products or materials we recommend. Recommendations are based on fit for the described repair task. Affiliate links are labeled as such.
6.3 Contractor Referrals: Paid Placements
Contractors pay a monthly membership fee to be listed as a Vetted Pro in the Service. Every contractor listing results from a paid membership and is labeled as such. Paying for a listing does not affect a contractor's Vetted Pro status, which depends solely on the verification described in the Contractor Referral and Marketplace Terms. Each Vetted Pro listing displayed in the Service carries a visible "Paid Listing" label directly on the listing itself, in addition to this disclosure document.
Status note: no paid Vetted Pro listings are currently active in the app; this disclosure takes effect when they are. The pro cards shown in the app today are an unpaid, curated "Top-rated" list, not Vetted Pro paid listings.
6.4 FTC Compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255) and FTC native advertising guidance.
