Terms of Service

By accessing or using honestfixapp.com or the Honest Fix application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time with notice; continued use after the effective date of an update is acceptance.
1.2 Eligibility
You must be 13 years of age or older to create an account and use the free features of the Service. You must be 18 years of age or older to make any purchase or enter into a paid subscription. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
At account signup, you must affirmatively check a box confirming: "I am 13 years of age or older." This checkbox is required, unchecked by default, and must be completed before an account can be created. Before completing any purchase, you must additionally affirmatively check a box confirming: "I am 18 years of age or older." This second checkbox is required, unchecked by default, and must be completed before any payment is processed.
1.3 What the Service Does
Honest Fix is a software application that provides homeowners with informational home-repair tools, including: (a) AI-assisted photo diagnosis with a fair-market price range and DIY eligibility read (free); (b) full breakdown reports and contractor quote audits (paid, one-time); (c) DIY guidance with affiliate product links; and (d) a directory of Vetted Pro contractors who pay a monthly membership fee to be listed, where homeowners may view a contractor's listing and contact them directly. Honest Fix is a technology platform. We do not perform repairs and do not employ any contractor.
1.4 Accounts
You must create an account to access paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us at caleb@honestfixapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create accounts using false identity information.
1.5 User Content: License and AI Training Consent
When you upload photos, quotes, or other content ("User Content"), you grant Honest Fix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, reproduce, and display that content to operate and improve the Service, including to train, fine-tune, and improve our AI models. By uploading User Content, you confirm you have the right to grant this license. Before your first upload of a photo or quote, you will be shown a separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox asking whether you consent to have that content used to help train and improve our AI models; accepting these Terms alone is not the consent mechanism for that specific use.
You may request deletion of your User Content by contacting caleb@honestfixapp.com. Deletion from active systems occurs within 45 days, consistent with the deletion-request timeline in our Privacy Policy; backup residuals are purged on a rolling schedule.
1.6 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; submit false or fraudulent information; reverse engineer or scrape the Service or its AI models; interfere with the Service's security or integrity; or resell or sublicense access without our written consent.
1.7 AI Outputs: Informational Only
All AI-generated outputs are informational estimates only, not home inspections, appraisals, engineering assessments, or binding quotes. Do not rely on them as a substitute for a licensed professional's advice. See the AI and Home-Repair Disclaimer.
1.8 DIY Guidance: Safety
Following DIY guidance involves real risk of personal injury and property damage. You are solely responsible for your safety. See the DIY Safety Disclaimer, which includes the mandatory stop-and-call-a-pro and emergency triggers.
1.9 Quote Audits: Opinion Only
A quote audit is our opinion on price reasonableness based on information you provide. It is not a guarantee of work quality, contractor performance, or savings. See the Quote-Audit Disclaimer.
1.10 Affiliate Links and Paid Placements
Some links in the Service are affiliate links through which we may earn a commission. Contractors pay a monthly membership fee to be listed as a Vetted Pro. These relationships do not affect editorial assessments. See the Affiliate and Paid-Placement Disclosure.
1.11 Payments and Subscriptions
All payments are processed by Stripe. Pricing is shown at checkout. Subscription terms, auto-renewal disclosures, and cancellation instructions are set out in the Subscription and Auto-Renewal Terms, incorporated here.
The app is a web app only at this time and is not distributed through any native app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). If that changes, in-app purchase rules and the store's merchant-of-record status will affect these Terms and this section must be revised.
1.12 Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, AI models, design, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to Honest Fix and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant no ownership rights to you.
1.13 Third-Party Links
The Service may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for those third parties' content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
1.14 No Emergency Services
The Service is not designed for emergencies. If you face an urgent safety situation such as a gas smell, sparks, fire, flooding, or any other danger, stop using the app and call 911 immediately.
1.15 Accessibility
We are committed to making the Service accessible to users with disabilities and are working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. To report an accessibility barrier, contact caleb@honestfixapp.com.
1.16 Limitation of Liability; Indemnification

1.18 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting caleb@honestfixapp.com. Sections 1.5, 1.16, 1.17, and any provisions that by their nature survive termination will survive.
